New news for today......Thursday, Sept. 15th

Please note that the media center will be closing at 3:30 on Thursday, September 15th.

Youth Mechanics are needed! Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau's Tried and True Small Engine program is looking for teens 15 and older who want hands on experience working on small engines with a professional mechanic. Shop time is Tuesdays & Thursdays from  3:30-6:30  for 3 months. Stop by the office to pick up an application

The Music Boosters will be having their first meeting of the year next Thursday, 9/22, at 7:30 pm in the Choir Room 545.  We will be introducing new board members, announcing the location of the 2018 Music Trip, and discussing fundraising opportunities.  All music students and their parents are welcome to attend.  Please join us!

Attention Students: There is no parking of student vehicles allowed in the Schilling Plaza or in Bridle Pass neighborhood. Student vehicles parked there will be towed at the driver's expense. Law enforcement will also be patrolling these areas. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please remember that if you need a Daily Parking Pass, you will need to purchase the pass in the Administration Office with Wendy Schroeder before lunches the day before.  For example, if you need a parking pass on Thursday, you will need to purchase the pass on Wednesday before lunch.

Past but Pertinent......

To all juniors:  The PSAT test will be held Wednesday, October 19th
starting at 7:40 in the Media Center.  This is the only day you can take the test.  The google sign up was sent home to all juniors.  The cost is 15 dollars and you will use Feepay on SchoolView. Registration on FeePay will close at 11AM on Septemember 23rd.  If you have any questions ask Mr. Stoyke.  If you need to set up a SchoolView account in order to sign up, please email Wendy Schroeder @ wschroeder@flaschools.org.

Homecoming is the week of October 3rd-8th this year.  Have you started your powderpuff team yet? Sign-up by emailing Miss Brett at abrett@flaschools.org by September 26th.  If you plan on making tshirts,make sure they are approved by Mr. Forsythe before you make them.  The Powderpuff games will be played, Monday, October 3rd starting at 6pm.

Interested in helping behind-the-scenes for the fall musical, The Addams Family? We would love to have you join us on our tech crew! We need hardworking students to help us with lights, sound, set construction, painting, costumes, makeup, and more. No experience necessary. Join us for an informational meeting in Mr. Zimanske's room, 372 at 2:45 this Friday, September 16. 

CHANGE:  The Senior Picture Day was originally set for Sept. 28th but has been moved to Oct. 12th.   You will be taking the picture on the bleachers at the football field during Advisory.

Hugo Feed Mill & Elevator Co. is looking for a Clerk/Cashier.

McDonalds in Forest Lake and Wyoming are looking for Part Time Employees, Come in on  Tuesday September 20th  between  3-7pm  for on the spot interviews. Tuesday doesn't work for you? Feel free to turn in an application anytime in the restaurant or online at McDonalds.com. McDonalds has a very flexible schedule so if you are involved in extra activities we may be able to work around them. Hope to see you  Tuesday September 20th !!

Boys Soccer:  Congratulations to the Boys Soccer team who enjoyed victory over the Mounds View Mustangs  on Tuesday ! Let's cheer them on to continued success  next Tuesday  when they face Roseville. JV starts at  4:15 PM  at the Middle School while Varsity starts at  5 PM  at Roseville Area High School. Come join us & bring on the cheer!     
 
Football:   Thanks to all of the fans who came out to support the Forest Lake football team last Friday night! Let's do it again this FRIDAY!!!!  The Rangers will face Mounds View and we'll be celebrating Tackle Cancer Night... so wear your PINK... Donations will be collected for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund.

Volleyball:  Please join the Ranger volleyball teams TONIGHT as they host Andover at home .  B-Squad and JV have a start time of 5:30 pm and Varsity begins at 7:00 pm.   We'll be recognizing our Parents and Sponsors before the Varsity match  Go Rangers!!

Attention Students- Support your fellow Rangers at our FLHS athletic events.  RANGER NATION PASSES are for sale for $30.  This will get you in to all of the home events for the 2016-17 school year.  This $30 also includes a free Ranger Nation T-Shirt (while supplies last).
