Day of Caring 2016

Day of Caring 2016 was a huge success thanks to the more than 550 volunteers who signed up to support local nonprofits on Friday September 16! Volunteers included employees from Enterprise, Anheuser-Busch, James City County, Williamsburg City, Eaton, Printpack, Ball Metal, Colonial Williamsburg, Sentara, Chesapeake Bank, and William & Mary, among many others.

This year the Day of Caring planning committee, led by Committee Chair, Erin Johnston, recruited volunteers and planned a Volunteer Breakfast at Williamsburg National Golf Club. Volunteers completed a variety of projects from an outdoor classroom build at James River Elementary to a neighborhood cleanup in Carver Gardens. View pictures from Day of Caring 2016 here.

Williamsburg Landing Supports United Way

Each year residents of Williamsburg Landing host "stuffing parties" to help United Way of Greater Williamsburg get the word out about the annual community-wide fundraising campaign. This year Bonnie and Bill Cooper organized the event and recruited more than 50 volunteers to stuff more than 17,000 letters to local citizens.
