PITTSBURGH: IN THEIR OWN VOICES - CALL FOR WRITERS

In collaboration with City Theatre, the Dramatists Guild of Pittsburgh will present In Their Own Voices on Monday, November 14th at City's Hamburg Studio Theatre. 

The event will feature approximately 10 playwrights reading aloud short excepts from their own works-in-progress.

Pittsburgh Regional Rep Gab Cody, and Director of New Play Development at City Theatre Clare Drobot will co-curate the evening.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature a chance for writers and audiences to meet as well as to hear new work.

At this time, we are requesting submissions from writers who would like to participate. If you would like to be considered for inclusion, please send a 1-page sample of your writing and a bio (under 100 words) to [email protected].

Submissions Due By: Friday October 7th at 5pm.

This call is open to writers in Pittsburgh, Western PA, West Virginia and Eastern Ohio. Dramatists Guild members will be given preference. 

All writers must be available to be in Pittsburgh on the evening of November 14th from 6pm-8pm. Writers selected for participation will be notified by mid-October.

Anyone is welcome to attend the public performance. More information to follow as we get closer to the event.
