High Quality Sound Enclosures

Introducing the new CMD Airlock
The new CMD Airlock is ideal for applications where dry raw or finished products are being handled in the process and where inspection or system clean-out are required. Because the CMD is designed for high process rates and possesses a number of features suited for sanitary processes, the airlock is perfect for food and pet food applications. The CMD is also a direct replacement for traditional square inlet Schenck Process MD airlocks in plant applications where sanitary requirements have increased, but the existing system does not allow for the use of a round inlet airlock.

Features:
  • Easy access to seals with rotor removed from endplate
  • All stainless steel construction, with the exception of the endplate bearings
  • Close clearance design reduces overall leakage through the valve and minimizes pneumatic system losses
  • Maximum 32 Ra finish on all wetted (product contact) parts

Integral Broken Bag Detector
Schenck Process offers Integral Broken Bag Detectors from Auburn Systems. The TRIBO.dsp U3200 Integral model is an advanced and economical particulate detector for dust collector compliance, maintenance, and process applications. The U3200 is designed to monitor fabric filter baghouses, cartridge filters, cyclones, and all types of dust collection equipment. For dry solids flow applications, the U3200 can detect flow/no flow and even high or low flow conditions in pneumatic conveying, injection, or gravity fed process flow applications.

Applications:
  • Emission Monitoring
  • Bag Leak Detection
  • Dust Collector Maintenance
  • Product Loss Prevention
  • Equipment Protection
  • Cyclone Overflow
  • Flow/No Flow Detection

Tech Tip: Nozzle Alignment
Tips from Schenck Process Service Technicians to ensure your equipment continues to run accurately and efficiently

Improper helix and nozzle alignment can cause an open flight helix to break at the drive hub. When the nozzle is not perpendicular to the frame of the feeder, the helix is forced into continuous flexing at the drive hub causing metal fatigue.

The nozzle needs to be installed perpendicular to the feeder both up/down and side/side. When installing the nozzle on a series feeder, set the nozzle perpendicular to the frame of the feeder and tighten down the band clamp holding the nozzle. If the nozzle has a nozzle support, set the nozzle support to the proper height and tighten down the band clamp.

The MECHATRON® feeder is designed with a nozzle support bracket that bolts directly to the nozzle flange, eliminating any alignment issues. Extended nozzles still require a cable support.

Key points to remember:
  • The nozzle should be perpendicular to the frame of the feeder. Check using a level or right angle square.
  • Extended nozzles need to be properly supported
