We're famous for salt!

Between 1861 and 1865, Panama City's St. Andrew Bay Saltworks was famous for being one of the largest producers of salt in the South. Today, Chef Paul Ashman is resurrecting Panama City's salt tradition with his amazingly flavorful hand-harvested sea salts from the local Gulf waters.

Pecan Smoked Sea Salt, Ghost Pepper Sea Salt, and Lime Sea Salt are just a few of the varieties of finishing salts offered by Chef Ashman's Gulf Coast Saltworks. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the flavorful sea salts are available at many area retailers in downtown Panama City and St. Andrews, including the Panama City Marina. Plan your visit to Panama City to discover more hidden culinary gems. Bon appetit!

  Antiques & collectibles galore

If you're a fan of Antiques Roadshow, you've probably seen Destination Panama City's sponsoring message on your local PBS station. There's a reason for that. We are home to some of the panhandle's best antique stores.

Doll collector? No problem. We've got you covered with one of the largest doll collections you'll ever see at Elegant Endeavors Antique Emporium, and if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the owner, a world-renowned doll maker.

Perhaps you love estate jewelry and glorious old hats. Don't miss the collection at Main Street Antiques on Harrison. Or if hippie-retro is more your style, we have two words for you... Hectic Eclectic.

For one-of-a-kind furniture and other estate treasures, Design Salvage is a stop you'll definitely want to make. Download the Panama City Visitors Guide to explore even more options for antiques and collectibles.
