Cheshire residents! You can now apply for a card or renew your existing card online!

Go to the CPL website and click Apply for a Library Card on our homepage. Fill out the form and that's it!

You'll receive an email telling you when your new card is ready to be picked up or you can arrange to have us mail the card to you. If you are renewing your card, we will mail you a new expiration sticker.

Mobile Hotspots

Mobile Hotspots now available for checkout to Cheshire residents!
  • Mobile hotspots are devices that provide mobile broadband wireless Internet access.
  • You can check one out from the library and have Internet access at home on tablets, laptops, or desktop computers. They use a cell signal and you connect to them as you would any wifi network.
4 hotspots are available to Cheshire residents at the Main Desk of the library. Each bag includes:
  • 1 hotspot
  • 1 charging cable
  • 1 wall adapter
  • 1 case
  • 1 Getting Started guide

Chasing the Dragon: Life of an Opiate Addict
Wed , Sept 28th, 6:30pm
The Cheshire Library & the Cheshire Police Dept. will present this documentary screening at the Library, followed by an information session and Q&A. Please join us to learn more about the opiate epidemic and how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Anyone may attend. However, this documentary has graphic and emotional moments that may be difficult for young viewers to understand. No registration required. 
Trans 101
Thursday , Sept 29th, 6:30pm
Attorney, activist & author Ellie Krug will talk about what it means to be transgender and how to be inclusive towards those who identify as trans. She will also sell & sign copies of her book Getting to Ellen: A Memoir about Love, Honesty and Gender Change.
