Family matters. September is safety month. It's extremely important that children and young adults also "take proper safety precautions." Here are just a few tips to keep them safe as they travel to and from school.
- Tell children to check their surroundings b
efore they cross the street, have them "stop and look left, right and left again to see if cars are coming."
- When walking to school, remind them to "never dart out in front of a parked car."
- Make sure your child always wears his/her helmet when leaving the house.
- Go to the bus stop with your child to teach them the proper way to get on and off the bus.
