Ruth Patir's The Sleepers
Tuesday at 8pm: Don't miss out on a one-night-only evening with New York City-based interdisciplinary artist Ruth Patir. Patir will be joined at this event by special guest Jonathan Crary, art critic and author of the acclaimed 24/7: Late Capitalism and the Ends of SleepInspired by Sheila Heti's 2008 blog idreamofhillary.blogspot.ca, and as result of her own dream about President Obama, Patir screens 2 films that reevaluate the "cliche" topic of dreams, framing them as a site for political intervention. Thursday thru Saturday: Jennifer Monson's in tow continues! This week, "extraordinary improviser" (-New York TimesMonson and collaborators host a series of "Pre-Attacks" from 6-7pm, prior to the performances. They'll peel back some of the layers of this multifaceted project during these priming events. Pre-Attacks are free and open to the public. 

Saturday at 3pm: DraftWork hosts free works-in-progress showings by choreographers Lily Bo Shapiro and Amber Sloan! Our long-running DraftWork program is curated by Ishmael Houston-Jones. After the performances, join Ishmael, Lily, and Amber for a conversation and reception!
