Reconciliation Offering will be receive on October 2nd
As we have watched the Olympics take place, we have seen such diversification in talents from around the world. People from all walks of life have come together to share in similar experiences. As we think about the reconciliation offering, let's remember the efforts to promote healing, relationships and restoration in the whole family of God. Your generous giving to the Reconciliation Ministry is transforming lives and strengthening Christ's witness in the world that we love one another, even as Christ continues to love us! Give to the Reconciliation Offering.

CROP WALK - Saturday October 1 - 8:30 AM

Sign up to join our CROP walk to help end hunger and at the same time, help ACES.  25% of the funds collected will go to benefit ACES in Ashland.
So let's join together, walk together, rock together, and work together to end hunger!

ACES FOOD DRIVE

grocery bags
In conjunction with the CROP WALK this year, we are holding a major non-perishable food drive/hygiene items for ACES. the following items are in constant need: beef stew, rice, cereals, canned soups with meat, powdered milk, boxes of macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, toilet tissue, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes. So return your grocery bag to church on October 2nd and help support ACES. There will be a simple soup and salad luncheon following worship on October 2nd for all to attend as well.

And speaking of the Soup Luncheon, we will be looking for some great chefs to bring in their favorite pot of soup on October 2nd. If you would be willing to provide a pot of your delicious soup, please let Cathy Tillman or Nancy Farrell know. We are planning on soup, salad and crackers with beverage.

Habitat for Humanity:

Slash members are inviteded to participate in a Hanover Habitat for Humanity project on October 21st from 8:30 - 3:30.   We are looking for 12 persons hopefully that day from Slash to participate the entire one day. This is a project that requires no special expertise - just a desire to help! If you are interested in helping, please contact Cathy Tillman or any member of the Outreach Committee.
