We are excited to announce the addition of a new feature to the 2016 Boulevard BOO! Parade! 


This year we added Grandstand Seating!

The introduction to "Office Hours" Workshop is THIS Week! 

The College Area Business District is offering "Office Hours Consulting": one-on-one consulting exclusively for College Area Business District businesses from the experts of San Diego's business assistance organizations.

Come to this workshop to meet these experts and learn how you can get FREE guidance for your business from the pros!

This workshop was created as a resource for College Area Business District business owners to introduce San Diego's premier business assistance organizations. Whether you are struggling with your business' marketing strategy, looking for business financing, or simply in need of assistance dealing with unrealistic customer expectations, there is an organization that can help yo u create a plan to tackle whatever business matter you may be struggling with.

In this workshop you will:
  • Get to know the 5 leading business assistance organizations
  • Learn how each organization can assist your business
  • Identify your business' shortcoming and identify which organization can aid in developing a strategy
  • Have the opportunity to ask business specific questions

Jazzercise College Area Fitness

Jazzercise College Area is making its way down to the Midway for Jazzercise Dance for Life- Rockin' the Midway, and YOU are invited. 

This is a special event open to the public created to spread awareness about breast cancer and to help raise money to find a cure!

Join Jazzercise College Area Fitness and hundreds of others for a morning of dancing and fun! 

When: Saturday, October 1, 2016

Time: 8AM-10AM
Registration: $45 at the door (All proceeds go towards breast cancer research)

Volunteers Needed | College Area Business Walk

City of San Diego's College Area Business District Survey Walk -About:

We need 40 volunteers to help us visit businesses and survey them about their needs, successes and challenges. The City's Economic Development Department is conducting this survey with all of the business districts throughout the City to determine how to improve San Diego's business atmosphere.
 

DATE: Thursday, October 6, 2016
TIME: 2pm - 5PM
STARTING LOCATION: College Area Business District Office (4704 College Avenue, San Diego CA 92115)
ENDING LOCATION: Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen (6011 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego CA 92115)
 
Volunteers will be assigned a section of the College Area Business District and asked to survey (written survey will be provided) as many business owners in tier section as possible between 2pm and 5pm. During the visit, volunteers will be asking the survey questions and documenting the answers on the survey form.
 
The volunteers will be asked to meet up at Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen to hand in their completed surveys and enjoy a debriefing and light refreshments with the City Staff and the College Area Business District Board Members and Staff.
