Your Chamber of Commerce/CVB has had a busy month. SeptOberfest has been exciting and busy. Lots of visitors around town! Grandpa's Barn has been exciting and interesting for this new director! Lots to learn and thankful for the volunteers that step up to help! There are no words to express our gratitude for the hours they invest in the Chamber and the community. Thank you!!
We were also extremely pleased to have the American Queen stop in Wabasha for an overnight stay. The Mayor and I welcomed the guests off the Queen. They were busy visiting all the local businesses and the American Queen company offered hop on/hop off bus service from the Queen to downtown Wabasha and Kellogg! Having one of the "Queens" brought back many awesome memories of the days when the Queens made frequent stops in Wabasha.
Time is winding down for me as your Director! These past six months have been a whirlwind! I've had lots to learn and create in and out of the office. I have enjoyed getting to see the many visitors that come to Wabasha and have loved seeing our Chamber members-just wish I would have had more time to be out and about! You can all be proud of the work that is done in the Wabasha-Kellogg Chamber of Commerce/CVB You can be proud of your staff of Kim and Lori, they are dedicated and have stepped up to the plate at the busiest time of the year for the Chamber. That being said, we hired a new director, Christina Dawson! She will be starting on October 10th! Please take the time to stop by and welcome Christina! More to follow later on her bio.
All the Best ~
Jane Glander, Interim Executive Director
