MONTCLAIR, NJ, (OCTOBER 6, 2016). Total Brain Health (TBH) proudly expands its Community Partnership Program with the addition of Trilogy Health Services, a leading provider of health and hospitality services for older adults.
Beginning this month, Trilogy will offer either the TBH BRAIN WORKOUT or TBH MEMORY courses, cutting-edge brain training classes from Total Brain Health, across 5 campuses throughout Indiana. Taught by Trilogy staff, these TBH Toolkit courses will provide residents the opportunity to take part in experiential, social-based brain training classes for brain healthy lifestyles and effective memory strategies.
"Trilogy Health Services is committed to a culture of wellness. We believe that Total Brain Health offers an exciting opportunity for our residents to engage in signature brain health programs that are highly social and engaging in nature and that encourage healthy lifestyle choices across the body, mind and spirit continuum of wellness," says Sarah Michener, Director of Life Enrichment & Memory Care Services.
As part of the Community Partnership, Trilogy Health Services will participate in the collection of further research around the efficacy of cognitive wellness training in group settings using satisfaction, mood, and intent-to-change scales. Data will be collected from voluntary participants in the TBH courses and will be published at a later date.
"To stay sharp and nimble in our thinking, it's important that we stay social," says Dr. Cynthia Green, brain health expert and President of Total Brain Health. "So often we think of brain training as something that we should do on our own, while in fact staying social is one of the best ways we can challenge our working memory and speed of processing as we age. Our TBH Toolkit programs are designed to teach brain health and memory strategies through engagement in challenging team-up activities."
