  • Historic return is over double the Agency's return from 8 years ago, when the export multiplier was $35 for every dollar programmed

Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS), the sole distributor of electricity in Jamaica, has released a Request for Proposals for its Smart Streetlight Program (Supply of Smart LED Streetlights, RFP# E-3518). The Government of Jamaica has mandated JPS to institute a program to upgrade the existing system of 105,000 high pressure sodium (HPS) street light fixtures to 110,000 LED (light emitting diode) street lights. The new fixtures will have intelligent controls and revenue quality metering capability.

Moroccan National Company for Transportation and Logistics (SNTL), a 100% state-owned entity, is the leading company in Morocco for road transport freight, logistics services and passenger transportation and operates one of the largest fleets of delivery vehicles in the country. SNTL is requesting the supply and installation of a 500 kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop system.  The estimated cost of services established by the client is fixed in the amount of 8,400,000 Moroccan Dirham.

USTDA is hosting the Vietnam Natural Gas Sector Reverse Trade Mission on October 16-29, 2016.  The delegation will include up to 12 high-level representatives from Vietnam's energy sector seeking to modernize, expand and improve the overall efficiency and performance of the country's natural gas infrastructure.

As part of the Vietnam Natural Gas Sector Reverse Trade Mission  there will be a one-day Business Briefing in Houston, Texas on October 24, 2016. This Business Briefing will provide a forum for 12 high-level representatives from Vietnam's energy sector to share information with U.S. companies on their needs, upcoming procurements and plans for natural gas development in Vietnam. One-on-one meetings with the delegates will be arranged for U.S. companies.
