Recharter
Recharter information will be sent out this month to Unit Leaders, Committee Chairs and Chartered Organization Representatives. If your unit did not receive their information, please contact the Scout Office.

Remember that the National Registration Fees for 2016 are $24 Registration Fee, $2 Health & Accident protection and a $40 liability coverage fee per unit.  These rates are the same as last year and when compared to other activities and organizations, remain a very good investment in our youth.  Please note:  None of the registration fees collected during registration or rechartering stay local. 100% of these fees are sent to National. The Miami Valley Council relies on the Friends of Scouting Campaign to support our local council and camps.

There's still time to be a part of something big!
As we enter final months of 2016, we want to welcome all our new Scouts and their families into the Miami Valley Council. We know you have some great adventures ahead of you with many new friends to make and activities to do.

If you know of some folks that have not yet joined our Scouting family and may think it's too late to do so, be sure to let them know that it's not! Many fall and winter adventures are being planned and we have room for everyone.

Make sure to direct all interested families to www.BeAScout.org to help them find a unit in their area if they are not joining yours!
Year End Giving
As the end of the year draws closer many people are beginning to consider their personal tax situation and consider options to lessen their burden while helping others in the community. If you find yourself looking for an organization to help, please consider making a gift to the Miami Valley Council, BSA. Every dollar we receive helps keep Scouting strong in the Miami Valley and is vital to us fulfilling our mission to make a lasting impact on today's youth through leadership and character development. You can make a tax deductible donation of any amount by visiting  www.MiamiValleyBSA.org/donate . Thank you for your continued support of Scouting, together we are making a difference for thousands of youth across the Miami Valley each and every year.
