Message From the Principal
Greetings Countryside Families!

Construction Recap

Starting today (Friday), and continuing for the next week or so, we will see a flurry of activity as several big deliveries of building materials (e.g. masonry, steel, and plumbing) will arrive, as well as the large machinery used to place the materials.

We continue to coordinate deliveries and work with our construction partners at Kraus-Anderson to minimize disruption to the school day.  In planning for this next wave of activity (Oct. 7-15), we have confirmed that no work outside the fenced area (i.e. deliveries or the movement of big machinery) will occur at the beginning and end of our school day.  And, as we have been doing, we will have multiple staff members supervising the safe arrival and departure of students.  We have thoroughly discussed the timing and location of work on the site during the day, and I am confident we have planned well to ensure the safety and comfortable access to our school by students, families and staff.  In addition, we will continue to be vigilant in monitoring any possible disruptions or distractions to the learning that is going on throughout our school.

Thank you for your continued support as we create these exciting new learning spaces at Countryside.
Stay in the Loop!
There are so many exciting projects underway in the district.  For details and timelines of all of the district's construction projects, visit   edinaschools.org/NextGenFacilities.

Parent Pick Up Zone Reminders
To ensure our pick-up process is smooth, especially at the north pick-up area along Benton Avenue, parents should remember to NOT park and leave vehicles unattended during the end of the day pick-up time.  It slows down the process and impedes other vehicles from pulling forward along the curb.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Edina Resource Center
Edina Resource Center is here to help -
The Edina Resource Center (ERC), a partnership between the City of Edina, Edina Public Schools and the community,  is your connection to information resources and services. It is a free and confidential service to those that live, work or go to school in Edina. If you or someone you know is in need of a resource, please contact the ERC for assistance.
Flu Shot Clinics
EPS families can get flu shots at a special vaccination clinic on Thursday, Oct. 13, 4-6 p.m. at the Edina Community Center, room 165. The clinic is being held by the Bloomington Public Health Department. Persons must be 6 months of age or older. Note that flumist (intranasal vaccine) is not available this year, as it is no longer recommended by the CDC. Be sure to bring your insurance card or Medicare Part B to the clinic. Most insurance plans are accepted.
