Hello Division Constituents and Community Partners,

I am reaching out to you today for two reasons. First, I am happy to inform you that the  2017 Timeline for Graduates Aging Out of the School System ("graduates timeline") is now available. This annual timeline has become an invaluable resource for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and the school-based professionals assisting them in planning for the transition from school to adulthood Please share it broadly with your stakeholder groups.

Next, I am writing with an out-of-the-ordinary request. In an ongoing effort to recognize and support our central office and community services staff during the system-wide reforms, the Division is hosting a half-day staff retreat at the end of October. I would welcome the opportunity to share with staff some quotes, anecdotes, or images that convey an appreciation for the work they do and the dedication they demonstrate. If you feel moved to share a positive thought or experience you've had with DDD staff over the years, please send it to the  DDD Communications ([email protected]) email. We respect your privacy, and anything you send will be used only as part of our staff retreat presentation.

Thank you.
