Academic Affairs to host 'Art Talk' this evening
The Office of Academic Affairs is hosting an "Art Talk" with Perry Johnson Friday, Oct. 7 at the Falany Performing Arts Center. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m.
A figurative, realist painter, Mr. Johnson's art tells stories. Sometimes, the stories are comic; sometimes, emotionally painful; at other times, his characters seem caught in the moments between the stories that make up their lives. But the characters that inhabit his paintings are always rendered with empathy, whether that's a family walking across a sun-lit parking lot after church or thuggish night-dwellers carrying their "ubermensch" out of harm's way.

She gained a lot of clinical experience through Baptist's School of Nursing and working at the hospital. After getting married and having children, Dr. Blackard went back to school, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. ...
