The Level 1 IS classes are going on an all-day field trip on Thursday, October 27th to the King County Election Center in Renton and the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.  Parents of 7th grade students are given priority status when signing up, but if you are interested in volunteering and have a student in another grade, you will be considered if not enough 7th grade parents sign up.  A total of six chaperones are needed.
To be considered for this position, please follow the instructions below: Email the following information to our Volunteer Coordinators, Kathy Thompson and Lina Burakovskaya.
  • Your Name
  • Email Address

In addition, we need one of chaperones to be able to drive their own vehicle in case there is a need for a student to return to the school unexpectedly before the field trip is over.  Please advise if you can volunteer to do this as well.  (This will also require that you provide proof of insurance and carry minimum auto liability limits of $100,000 per occurrence and $300,000 aggregate combined single limits of liability (or $100,000/$300,000 Bodily Injury; $50,000 Property Damage) and uninsured motorist coverage, as well as fill out another district form if selected.
Beginning Thursday, October 6th, parents who have completed the above items and receive district approval will be contacted to confirm their participation.

  • Rakes
  • Wheelbarrows

Student Store Volunteers Needed
If you are interested in helping in the student store, please send an e-mail to Reanna Ricks.
Each shift is only an hour every other week and it's a great way to get involved.

Need Volunteers for Staff Appreciation Committee
This fun committee serves monthly luncheons to our wonderful staff to show how much we appreciate all they do for our students. The meals we provide are healthy, thoughtful and homemade based on the chosen monthly theme. There are other volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
If you have been signed up for this committee in the past, please send an email to
June Hanley-Wendt to let her know that you're interested in staying on the committee. If you are new and would like to volunteer, please email her as well. If you're on the volunteer list, you will receive the sign-up genius email to volunteer.
