Happy Fall Yall!!! It's busy around here and we don't want you to miss a thing!  Here's what's going on This Week in North Baldwin:




Don't forget to save your Greer's Receipts and send them to school with your kids!  Greer's partners with Apples for the Students to offer our schools the opportunity to ear FREE Education Equipment & Supplies! This year's program began September 1st and ends March 18, 2017! Save your receipt and help out our local Schools!



Seven historic homes will be featured, as well as one local church.

The oldest home on the tour was built in 1840.  Others were also built in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  One home is one of the few standing stage coach stops that still exists in Alabama. 
The oldest standing barn in Alabama is on the property of another featured home.
One lovely home, a Victorian Cottage, was constructed by German immigrants in 1840 as a "Row House" for a timber worker.  In the early 1900's, tin ceilings were added in the dining and living rooms.

Sunken cypress logs pulled from the Tensaw Basin partially frame another featured home.

The Stockton United Methodist Church was pastored by a Circuit Rider who rode on horseback or buggy between the six churches in his care.

Immanuel Church to Host Community Blessing of Animals

The Annual Blessing of Animals at Immanuel Episcopal Church, Bay Minette, is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday, October 9th, in the church's front yard on McMillan Avenue at 7th Street. 

Local Partners in this community event include First Presbyterian church, First United Methodist Church, and the North Baldwin Animal Shelter. All animals should be either on a leash or in a crate. Donations will be received for the North Baldwin Animal Shelter. This agency will have some animals present and available for adoption. This event is open to all.

Reece Beasley presented Red Ribbon Week Excellence Award - 

September 23, 2016 Reece Beasley was given the Red Ribbon Week Excellence Award by the faculty of Bay Minette Elementary School and Dr. Zack Wigstrom, Principal. After writing an essay on the topic "You only have one life-Be Drug Free", Reece was selected to lead his peers in Drug Awareness and continue to encourage students to steer the drug-free path. 

Striving for on-going awareness and support  throughout the community, Reece will lead numerous fundraising opportunities and community projects to raise monies for charities of his choosing. He is asking YOU to support his efforts by joining hands with him. By donating funds, products, gift cards, time, etc., you are contributing to improving the future of our children. Anything you offer to do as a business or an individual, tremendous or minute, will go further than you can imagine. With all of us working together, Reece can make a difference. He WILL make a difference.
