The flower for the month of October is the Marigold which symbolizes:  grace, protection, comfort and healing.

There is not enough said about the wonderful grace that God has shown to us or the protection, comfort and healing He has provided.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon said,

"I'm so glad that God chose me before the foundation of the world, because He never would have chosen me after I was born!"

What a mighty God we serve; He loves us in spite of all of our failures, faults and fumbles. He loves us when no one else will.

There was a little girl that had a large collection of dolls of every kind. Everyday she enjoyed getting her dolls out and playing with them.

One day a guest in the home asked her which doll was her favorite. She ran into her room and came out carrying a doll that would have been rejected by "Goodwill".

One of her eyes was missing, the cloth hair was hanging by a single thread, the dress was worn and dirty and one of her shoes was missing.

The guest was surprised and asked her why she loved that doll the most. The little girl said, "Because if I didn't nobody else would!"

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Global Ministry

We are so thankful for how the Lord is blessing the church.

First of all, the power and presence of God have been indescribable each time we come together. It's like revival and camp meeting; God is moving!

We are thankful for the generosity of our people who continue to give locally as well as globally to the cause of the gospel.

Last year the church took on a project for the orphanage in India that resulted in the purchase of tables and chairs for five hundred orphan children at a cost of $ 12,000. Again this year the church has committed to another $ 10,000 for the upkeep of the facilities to make it clean and fresh for these precious children.

Year to date giving has been as follows:

J Reddi India Missions ........................ $    8,192.00
Support Child/Jyothi Stephen India......     12,644.00
Women's Ministries (children's clothing)        200.00

Ministry to Israel ..................................       7,576.00

Go to Nations (Nathan/Alison Atwood).    18,028.00

YWEA ..................................................      1,500.00

James 1:27 a

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction...
