Community input needed on mental health services
October 6 forum on Mental Health Services Act spending plan
Contra Costa County Behavioral Health is working on its next 3-year spending plan for Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funds, approved by voters in 2004 as state Proposition 63, which I supported.

Prop 63 directs a 1% income tax on personal incomes over $1 million for mental health services.

Public input is vital to this process, to ensure that the spending plan reflects community priorities and needs.

You're invited to add to the planning at a public forum organized by the County. The first will be held at  Maple Hall in San Pablo on Thursday October 6. Other forums will be held in Pleasant Hill and Bay Point. (Media release.)

These forums are also a great opportunity to learn more about the Mental Health Services Act, and the County's Behavioral Health services.
