Check Out Our New Look!

One of our biggest challenges is how to best share our programs, youth and communities with our global DREAMers. Please take a moment to read our new Annual Report and website - we would love to hear your thoughts! A special shout out to Kimberly Schwede for designing our annual report and Tyler Simko for designing our website. Thank you for your amazing contribution, time and beautiful work!
Preschool Through University, Our DREAM With Banco Popular

If we could have our way, all youth in the Dominican Republic would have the opportunity to attend high quality early childhood education programs and take that love of learning through higher education. Thanks to our partnership with Banco Popular, this is now a reality! Three A Ganar students have been awarded with university scholarships to study accounting and business administration at UTESA in Puerto Plata. They were thrilled to start their first classes this month!
English, Anyone? DREAM has you Covered!

English skills are in high demand by community members, and we are pleased to now offer two classes per week to a group of adults who are eager to learn a new language. The classes are led by several of our international yearlong volunteers (Janil Santana, Shonty Shroff, and Dani Coony), and supported by our English Language Fellow, Sally Kuzma, who joins us thanks to a collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo.
Our New Model Classroom in La Ciénaga, Cabarete

By popular demand, DREAM has opened two brand new Young Stars classrooms in one of Cabarete's biggest neighborhoods, La Ciénaga. After several years of running summer camps in that community, we are proud to fulfill a yearlong need by offering this program within walking distance of students' homes. We have 99 students currently enrolled in morning and afternoon shifts, with new students joining every day as the word spreads!
DPV/UNICA Regional Conference Equips Peer Leaders with New Skills

One of the core tenets of DREAM programs is providing regular professional development so that our teachers and facilitators are able to constantly learn and grow in their profession. The annual DPV and Unica Regional Conference provides opportunities for youth coaches to acquire new knowledge and skills, share experiences with one another, and get new ideas to make their community programs as successful as possible. This year, 22 coaches also learned about DREAM's history from our President and Chairman of the Board, Michel Zaleski. They loved seeing how their work fits into the bigger picture of our organization!
DREAMers of the Month
Yineiri Delgado, Cristian Demorizi, Virginia Vásquez, and Adarlenis Rojas Rivas

While our students are busy learning in classrooms across the North Coast, our office staff is busy making sure that all programs are able to operate smoothly and efficiently. Over the last few months, we have welcomed several new team members in our Main Office, DREAM Center Office, and Montessori Office. Next time you visit us, be sure to say a warm welcome to Yineiri Delgado, Cristian Demorizi, Virginia Vásquez, and Adarlenis Rojas Rivas. It's great to have these young female leaders as an integral part of the DREAM team!
