FLITE  Newsletter                                                              October 5, 2016
Program Spotlight
In each newsletter we will highlight a FLITE-funded program helping kids in the T/E School District.

  • The After School Homework Program is staffed by T/E teachers and aides. The program helps students develop effective study skills and finish homework assignments and projects.
  • Over 100 students in grades 1-8 participate each year, meeting four days a week after school with bus transportation provided home.
  • The program gives students a safe place to ask questions, receive academic assistance, and experience positive social interactions.
  • The children participating in the Homework Program "who might not otherwise have a quiet, supervised place to study are having ... their overall interest in school strengthened by folks who care and can become mentors." - Richard Gusick, Superintendent

C.A.S.E./FLITE Golf Outing-
On Sunday, September 25th, golfers enjoyed gorgeous weather and the chance to join with friends and classmates to raise money for the Foundation for Learning In Tredyffrin/Easttown.  A great time was had by all. The C.A.S.E./FLITE Golf Outing, first organized by C.A.S.E. 9 years ago, has become a much anticipated annual event.

We thank our sponsors for their generous support: Bright Lights Design, Krapf Bus Companies, Biddle & Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Liberty Property Trust, Frame Station Gallery, and Berwyn Tavern. We are also grateful to Fleming's Steakhouse and many other local businesses who contributed gift certificates and services for the silent auction and raffles.
