Beech-Nut Internship Overview: by Katrina Carino

Having worked with
Beech-Nut, Gold-level member, this summer was a blessing. I am really impressed by

what the company stands for -- pursuing clean label and making real (and delicious) foods for babies! For ten weeks, I was lucky to get to know how the different facets of the company work as a whole from R&D to marketing. On a day to day basis, I worked on research projects and also attended some R&D meetings and meetings with possible suppliers. This was really helpful because it gave me a broader perspective of the food industry and research. I got to work in the QA lab too on shelf life where I tasted a lot of delicious baby food. On the last day of my internship, I presented my results to the VP of Technical Services and the managers from R&D, production, QA. I am also grateful for the people I worked with during the summer. They are
really dedicated to what the company stands for.

Cornell Students Visit Baldwin Richardson Foods
|
Thank you to our Gold-level member
Baldwin Richardson Foods
for providing an opportunity for students to tour and participate in a hands on demonstration at their brand new Innovation Center in Illinois.
"Thank you for the amazing opportunity to tour your facility in Suburban Chicago! It was a very educational and fun experience that has helped sway my career decisions. It was also reassuring to hear about the various journeys that led to the careers you all have today. It is good to hear that although you may not always start your career doing something that you love, if you continue to walk through the doors open to you and work hard, you will eventually find your niche and what you love to do. Thank you once again for the opportunity and your time!" - Kenton Hipsher, 2016
