Ward 2 Food Drive Drop-Off Event
I will be hosting a food drive drop-off event at the Lushes Fire Hall, 2035 Lushes Ave., on Saturday, October 8 th, 10-11 am. Please come by, drop off a bag of much needed food and say hi!

Items most needed are canned fruit, dried pasta and pasta sauce, canned vegetables, peanut butter and canned meat.  

Gypsy Moth & Canker Worm Information Session

If you have questions or concerns about canker-worms or gypsy moth, please attend this information session. Staff from Forestry will be in attendance to pass along information and suggestions that can be used in the Fall that will assist next Spring.

When: Wednesday, October 19th, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Doors Open Mississauga, Saturday, October 1st
On Saturday, October 1st, the annual Doors Open Mississauga will be held. There are several iconic Ward 2 locations on the tour. This event is an opportunity to explore the art, culture and heritage in our own backyard.

Clarkson Village Halloween Funfest
On Saturday, October 29th, 10 am - 2 pm, Clarkson Village businesses invite you to 'Halloween in the Village 2016'. There will be many fun activities for the entire family: Bouncy Castles & Slides, Pony Rides, Roaming Entertainers, Live Music, Refreshments and Candies for 'Trick or Treating' children.

Park Your Pumpkin Parade
Come, share and admire our community's creative carving skills at 'Park Your Pumpkin'. Stroll paths and enjoy some warm cider, tasty treats and music. Admission is free.

When: Tuesday, November 1st, 6 - 8 pm

Where: Bradley Museum, 1620 Orr Rd.

Fall at the Museums
The Museums of Mississauga have a packed schedule of events for you to enjoy this Fall!

You may be interested in 'Walk Back in Time' - Halloween Tour of Springcreek Cemetery on October 15th at 7 pm. You can learn about the lives, deaths and tombstone traditions of early residents of Clarkson.

The Mississauga Arts Council presents 'The Magical Masquerade Ball'. Celebrate All Hallow's Eve like never before, at the Lakeshore Convention Centre, on October 29th.

Handbags for Hospice, in support of Heart House Hospice, is an event that I thoroughly enjoy attending. All proceeds from this event directly impact people in our community who are living with a life-limiting illness and the families who love them.

The 17th Annual Lakeshore Art Trail is coming up on October 15 & 16. Visit the 28 artists from Clarkson to Port Credit over 16 stops.

High Fashion High Tea
High Fashion High Tea is a special afternoon event that connects the world of fashion and health together with the single goal of making a difference. Hosted at the unique Waterside Inn by the lake in Port Credit, the event raises funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. Please note that tickets for this event must be purchased by October 16th.   
High Fashion High Tea provides guests with an afternoon of socializing while shopping and enjoying high tea and a fashion show featuring international women’s wear designer collections that promise to dazzle and inspire.
