October 2 - ADULTS IN THE CHAPEL SUNDAY SCHOOL- Join us on Sunday, October 2 and also October 9 as we view the video, "Miracles from Heaven," the movie of a true story of a little girl, Annabel, and her family as "Anna" is diagnosed with an incurable disorder that leaves her to endure years of pain, testing, and treatments.  One day an accident changes things and Anna shares her story of visiting heaven, meeting Jesus, and being guided by a guardian angel. Days after, the Beam family experiences a miracle.  As Anna says, "God is always there, and He has His own ways of working things out" and as the Bible says, "He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed; miracles that cannot be counted."  Job 9:10

EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT - SUNDAY EVENING WORSHIP - Come out at 5:15 p.m. for our Sunday Evening service in the Chapel for a time of music, teaching, and discussion.  This week, we will continue the study on Romans at the 5:15 service.  Please join us!
NEXT WEEK
October 4 - WOMEN'S GUILD - The October 4 Women's Guild meeting will feature Debbie Parker Schwartz, a native of Quakertown and currently pastor of Trinity UCC in Leesport.  Debbie will present a program on her experience walking the Camino de Santiago (The Way of Saint James), a 500 mile spiritual pilgrimage across northern Spain.  The full schedule for the coming year will be included in the October newsletter.

October 9 - FAMILY THANKOFFERING - Sunday, October 9 is Family Thankoffering.  The Family Thankoffering envelope in your packet is a reminder to be thankful for the blessings we have and also gives us an opportunity to help others who are less fortunate.  Joanne Kramer and Valerie Melroy from Outreach Care will tell us about this local group which aids homeless people in Quakertown and Upper Bucks County with help in housing and support in sustaining daily living conditions.  Our Thankoffering for this year will be divided between Outreach Care and help for flood damaged Louisiana.

October 9 - THE CROP WALK is scheduled for Sunday, October 9.  Envelopes for donations are being handed out by Barry Tice. You don't have to walk to participate. A donation can be placed in the envelope and given back to Barry. If you decide to walk, bring a can of food to be donated to the starting point in Memorial Park. Registration to walk is 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park.  The Walk starts at 1:30.  Our Church is a rest stop for the walker's.  Our congregation always makes chocolate chip cookies to give to the walkers as they rest.  I am asking our bakers in the congregation to once again bake those famous chocolate chip cookies.  They can be dropped off in the kitchen on Sunday morning, October 9.  Please help to stop hunger and donate again this year.  Thank you. Cheryl and Barry Tice
