What a Ride!

A great big thank you to all riders, sponsors, and supporters who rode, volunteered, and fundraised for this year's 26th annual Rodman Ride for Kids on September 24th!   It was a beautiful day, with close to 1,000 cyclists taking to the road to complete a 25, 50, or 100 mile course.  This year's Ride will raise over $13 million dollars to benefit 50 partner agencies serving at-risk children and families.  Visit our photo album
on Facebook to see pictures from the event.

We are closing in on our $300,000 goal, but we're not there yet!  Visit our ride page to make a donation and help us reach our goal and secure the 5% match!

The Rodman Ride for Kids is completely underwritten.  This means 100% of funds raised will directly help the children and families at RFK Children's Action Corps.

Swing for Kids

Thank you to all of our golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and
supporters who took part in our Swing for Kids golf tournament on August 5 at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, MA.

A special thank you to our Title Sponsor, Pelham Pharmacy, our Silver Sponsor, Fitchburg Tire, and our good friend Dennis Tully, who once again sponsored 6 teams this year.

Participation in Swing for Kids supports Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps' fundraising efforts in the 2016 Rodman Ride for Kids.

National Resource Center Releases New Publication
Our Robert F. Kennedy National Resource Center for Juvenile Justice  is pleased to announce the release of the   Probation System Review Guidebook, 2nd Edition  written by John A. Tuell and Kari L. Harp. Since the first edition was released in 2011, the RFK National Resource Center has continued to expand the scope and breadth of the Probation System Review process, resulting in further advances and refinement to the review framework. The current review structure includes the analysis of four updated key elements: Administration, Probation Supervision, Intra- and Interagency Work Processes and Quality Assurance. These advances have occurred in partnership with an ever-growing cadre of jurisdictions who have partnered with the RFK National Resource Center to undertake the Probation System Review.

Help Make Winter Wishes Come True

Snowman

M
ake this holiday season a little brighter for the boys and girls in our programs by participating in our annual Winter Wish gift drive.
With your generosity, we can ensure that every single child in our care receives a gift.  This is not only a wonderful way for individuals and families to give back during the holidays, but there are also great opportunities for corporations to get involved!

Thank You!

This summer, boys and girls from our programs were part of the group of 500 kids who filled the Charles Playhouse to see the Blue Man Group. Our heartfelt thanks to Rodman for Kids for their generosity in sponsoring this outing and their ongoing commitment to ensure young people have the opportunity to experience live theatre.

Community
Connections

This month, through our continued partnership with United Way, we were excited to welcome employees from Sunovion Pharmaceuticals in Marlborough to our Lancaster Campus. The volunteers were hard at work landscaping, planting, pruning, and weeding. We're extremely grateful for their support and help in making our programs a welcoming place for our kids to live and learn.

Kids Corner

In July, residents at our Cape Cod STARR Program volunteered at the Veterans' Voice Massachusetts Vets Music Festival at Battleship Cove. The youth spent the day cooking hotdogs and hamburgers and serving food to active and veteran service members. Thank you to Gregg Brasso, CEO, Producer and Host of Veterans' Voice on 95.9 FM for providing our kids with this wonderful opportunity.
