Bank of America #GlobalBuild
On September 24th, 25 San Diego Bank of America employee volunteers teamed up with San Diego Habitat for Humanity to help homeowner Elizabeth Rodriguez through Habitat's Neighborhood Revitalization program. They also donated $50,000 to Habitat to be used for future home projects! The critical home repairs that Elizabeth received will improve her safety, health, and quality of life. "I'm thrilled for this amazing support," said Rodriguez, who works at the YMCA and has been a longtime community leader. "I'm excited for the many upgrades to my home which are needed to improve my quality of life."
Throughout the week, thousands of Bank of America employee volunteers and representatives from Habitat for Humanity came together to revitalize communities and help people like Rodriguez achieve and retain the dream of homeownership through its Global Build Week. Revitalization projects took place in 85 communities across eight countries.

foundation lane community complete
Habitat's second build in El Cajon is finished! Phase II consists of six single family homes, a
ll of which are 1,283 square feet, have wraparound porches, carports, and have
been designed to meet Energy Star 3.0 energy efficiency. This build expanded the successful first phase of the
Foundation Lane community, built in 2009 with the generous support of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. The second
phase was made possible by a continued partnership with the Jimmie Johnson Foundation, Lowe's Home Improvement, the City of El Cajon, many generous building sponsors, and countless
volunteers.
Four of the six houses were built completely in one week as part of our Home Builders Blitz! How is that possible, you say? With the help of builders who leverage their relationships in the building industry to get donations of building products and labor, our Blitz sponsors all work towards the goal of building the homes at zero cost to Habitat.
