EACC Trade Conference Brings East African Officials to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce
Delegates from Eastern Africa attended a panel discussion titled "The Emergence of Frisco" on Wednesday, September 28 at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, hosted by the Chamber's International Business Council. Tony Felker served as moderator. Panelists included Mayor Pro tem, Will Sowell; City Manager, George Purefoy; Frisco EDC President, Jim Gandy; Frisco ISD Deputy Superintendent, Doug Zambiasi; and North Central Texas Council of Government Executive Director, Mike Eastland. The delegation from the East African Community (EAC) Common Market, (similar to the European Union) was comprised of Ambassadors, Commercial Attaches, Key Ministry Leaders, Governors, business leaders and other diplomats from East Africa. As part of the East Africa Chamber of Commerce 2016 Trade Conference in Dallas, the delegates made the sidebar trip to Frisco to learn from Frisco's experience as a leader in development in North Texas. 
Groundbreaking for Hall Park's 17th Building
City officials and Craig Hall, founder and chairman of Hall Group, broke ground on the new building Monday at 3201 Dallas Parkway. The Class AA building will be 12 stories and will contain 300,000 square feet. The building is expected to be complete between late 2017 and early 2018. Read more...

Frisco high school students, parents, and grandparents are invited to attend a special forum sponsored by Frisco ISD and the Frisco American Legion Post 178 to learn about options to pay for college education using government programs such as Department of Defense, CIA, military scholarships, and loan repayment programs.  This is a great way to learn first-hand about unique and little known ways to pay for college without incurring substantial student loan debt.
