We are honored to have such distinguished individuals who have achieved much within the Los Angeles and greater community at large. Please see their bios below.
Dinner Co-Chairs

Jihee Huh

Vice-Chair and President of New Business Development
Pacific American Fish Company
Jihee Huh is a business leader, philanthropist and activist. Currently, Jihee is the Vice-Chair and President of New Business Development at Pacific American Fish Company. She is the Co-Founder and President of the Pete's Seafood Club retail brand products.

Her philanthropic works include: The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, serving as Vice- Chair of Saban Research Institute, CAUSE (Center for Asian United for Self Empowerment), supports the Human Rights Watch international work and KAFC - Korean American Forum of California.)

Julia Gouw

Retired President, Chief Operating Officer
East West Bank
Julia S. Gouw is Retired President, Chief Operating Officer of East West Bank - one of the top 30 largest banks in the nation that serves as the financial bridge between U.S. and China.

Gouw was ranked one of the "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" five times by American Banker magazine and has received the Los Angeles Business Journal's "Women Making a Difference" award two times in recognition of her achievements and contributions.

Dr. Paul Song, MD

Chief Medical Officer
ATGen Global and Cynvenio Biosystems
Paul Y. Song, MD is a physician, biotech executive, and tireless advocate universal healthcare and social justice.

Over the past 20 years of practice, Dr. Song became increasingly concerned about rising number of cancer patients who declared bankruptcy due to excessive medical bills brought on by their illnesses. He also was dismayed at the number of uninsured Americans who presented with late-stage cancer simply because they could not afford screening or to see a physician in a timely manner. Dr. Song is especially concerned with the disparity in access to care for our poor, communities of color, and undocumented.

Sukhee Kang

Former Mayor
City of Irvine
Like many young immigrant couples, Sukhee Kang and his wife Joanne started a family after settling into their new life in America and Orange County, after immigrating from South Korea in 1977. Through their hard work and smart investments, they also demonstrated their success as entrepreneurs, and in the world of business.

Sukhee then turned his attention to community and public service. The Los Angeles riots in 1992 caused massive damage in the Korean community, and demonstrated that despite its size, the community was sorely lacking in political clout - or even visibility... In 2008 he became the first-ever Korean American mayor of a U.S. city larger than 100,000.

Charlie Woo

Co-founder and CEO
Megatoys
Charlie Woo is the co-founder and CEO of Megatoys, an international toy manufacturer company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The company also has an office in Hong Kong as well as manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen, China, and in Commerce, California.

Charlie's business accomplishments and his impact on the local community were featured by various news organizations including: Fortune, The Economist, Far East Economic Review, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNN, CNBC. His contributions are also featured in several books.

Mark Kingston

Managing and Founding Partner
Pavonis Group
Mark is the Managing Partner and a founding partner of Pavonis Group and is based in Houston, TX.  Most recently, Mark was the President of ARGUS Software, the standard for analytical and investment management solutions to the commercial real estate industry, and the Chief Knowledge Officer of Altus Group.
