Chicago Property Tax Rebate Update

Early Voting Begins Today
Dear Neighbor,

Beginning Saturday,  October 1st through Wednesday, November 30th  eligible Chicago homeowners can apply for the City of Chicago Property Tax Rebate at any of the 26 neighborhood locations, including City Hall. Click here  for a map of the rebate processing center locations. Homeowners must apply for the rebate in person. The closest locations to the 43rd Ward are:
  • 721 N. LaSalle Street, Catholic Charities open  Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 121 N. LaSalle Street, City Hall open  Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • 1011 W. Lawrence Avenue, North Side Community Federal Credit Union open  Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The City of Chicago Property Tax Rebate Program provides eligible families and seniors some property tax relief through a City-funded rebate.  I co-sponsored this rebate plan to make sure that if any tax relief was offered to some Chicago homeowners, it would extend to taxpayers in our Ward. I encourage all property owners in our Ward to review the  checklist  of required documentation and eligibility requirements before deciding to go to a rebate processing center location.
