October is College and Career Readiness Month in DPS
Team DPS members across the district are working hard to achieve our
Denver Plan 2020
goal of ensuring our graduates are college and career ready, and we're celebrating their progress throughout October!
Students from across the district will be sharing how they are making their college and career dreams a reality - such as taking challenging courses, mapping out an academic plan with their school counselor, visiting a college campus and participating in strategic extracurricular activities.
Each day, the Office of College and Career Readiness and CareerConnect will highlight one student's plan on www.dpsk12.org, Facebook
,
and Twitter. But it doesn't stop there: we want students of all grade levels to share their career and college aspirations using the hashtag #myplan. DPS educators and school leaders can also join the conversation by celebrating their students using #everychildsucceeds.

Benefits Terms Decoded: Home Delivery Pharmacy
Team DPS, are you ready to play Benefits Terms Jeopardy? Here's how you pla
y to win:
- Benefits Terms Decoded: We'll "decode" one new benefits term in Team DPS Weekly each week through Oct. 20 (that's four new terms), and tell you more about how you can save time and money utilizing services provided by Kaiser and DHMP.
- Starting Oct. 27, we'll test your knowledge of those terms. We'll ask a question. If you email us the correct answer, you'll be entered to win a prize. Winners are selected at random.
Let's get started with our first "decoded" term: Home Delivery Pharmacy. Home delivery of your prescription medication can save you time and money. Say goodbye to long lines at your local drugstore and say hello to fast, convenient service.
(The Benefits team would also like to congratulate Madeline B., a new hire at Columbine Elementary School, who participated in the new hire benefits enrollment survey. Madeline won two tickets to a farm-to-table dinner and jazz concert - a $190 value - at Grant Farms!)
