New Procurement Counselor
Meet Conor Cusick:

Great news! Colorado PTAC has reached full staffing with the hiring of Conor Cusick in the Colorado Springs office as a full-time counselor.  I selected Conor from a fantastic group of applicants, any of which could do the job, but I felt Conor's unique skill-set and motivation to help our clients best suited our mission.  He's only been with us for a couple of weeks and has already shown value in his vision of our service delivery.  Please join me in welcoming Conor, [email protected].   - Dennis Casey, Executive Director

About Conor:

Conor Cusick grew up in Maryland and attended the University of Detroit in Michigan on an ROTC scholarship. He received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army in the Armor Corps. After completing Army basic tank training he held positions of increasing responsibility from Platoon to Division level. His duty locations included Kentucky, Kansas, Germany, California, and Colorado. While assigned as a Small Group Instructor at the Armor School Captain's Career Course in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Conor received a Master's degree in Business Management from Embry Riddle-Aeronautical University. During his career Conor deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of NATO peace keeping operation and completed two combat tours in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Conor completed a 22-year active duty Army career as the Senior Army Advisor to the Commanding General of the Colorado National Guard in Denver, Colorado where he provided expertise to the National Guard in areas regarding military training, deployment operations, logistics, personnel and equipment readiness.

After retiring from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, Conor worked for two small business federal contractors in Colorado Springs and specialized in project management, recruiting, business development, capture, proposal management, and operations management. He helped win several million-dollar contract awards for two companies-a minority and woman-owned small business and a service-disabled veteran-owned small business.

In September 2016, Conor joined Colorado PTAC in Colorado Springs. Conor is knowledgeable in all aspects of the government acquisition process, including Veteran's and Service-Disabled Veteran's business, the special socio economic categories of set-aside rules, and comprehensive acquisition counseling to businesses seeking to sell products or services to local, state and federal government agencies.
