Apple Campaign Push
Thank you to everyone that has contributed to the Apple Campaign to date! We couldn't make our annual $120,000 grant to the school without the generous support of our community.  If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, you can contribute anytime online here or by dropping your check off at the front office in the Apple Donation Box. If you want to make a pledge for a donation later in the school year, please email the Apple Campaign Chair, Carin Wagner, at apple@uparkelmentary.org. walktoschool
Walk or Bike to School Day

Join University Park on Wednesday, October 5th  to walk or bike to school!

Looking for a healthy way to start the day? Jump-start your morning  by walking with your child to school. Take some time to promote health, safety and the environment by walking  with your child to school - or just simply taking a walk together. When you get to school, find gym teacher, Tracy Hartin's table, sign the banner, and get a sticker that says you participated in Walk to School day!

Do you live too far away?  Do you ride the bus?
If you live too far from your child's school to walk or you ride the bus, you can drive part of the distance, then park and walk the rest of the way or meet us on the track before school and show your support.

Walking to school is a great way to be a part of a global event and to promote health, to identify safer routes for walking, and to improve air quality.

Walk for fitness and walk for fun!  See you on the track!

auctionvolunteers
Looking for Volunteers on the Auction Planning Committee

The UPark Annual Auction takes place in the spring, but planning it begins now. The more people we have working to make the auction happen, the more fun it is for all involved! There are several areas in which you can contribute. Some ways do not involve meetings and can be done at home via email/phone. If you are more social, you can pick an area that gets you out of the house interacting with people.
Here are the areas we need help in:
  • Item Acquisition & Procurement
  • Teacher Experiences
  • Parent & One of a Kind Experiences
  • Class Art Projects
  • Marketing/Communications
  • Live Event Games and Fun
  • Audio Visual
If any of these areas sound like they might be a match for your talents and time, or you just want to learn more, email Dana  O'Connor
