Meet Jennifer McDaniel,
Director of Children & Family Ministries

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee invites you to a meet and greet for Jennifer McDaniel, our Director of Children & Family Ministries. Jennifer has been on board since July, and many of you have met her in passing as you drop off and pick up your kids. But this is an opportunity to visit with her and get to know Jennifer and her vision for Children's Ministry in a more relaxed setting. We'll gather in the Chapel for a potluck lunch immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service. We'll supply the fried chicken. Bring your favorite dish to share. Hope to see you there!

We learn a lot from our dogs. We learn about unconditional love, trust and devotion, just to name a few. But what other lessons do they teach us? That will be the topic of a new sermon series called Obedience School, which will begin on Oct. 30. But this sermon series needs your input. What do you learn from your dog about what it means to be human? What do you learn about life and love and friendship, not to mention temptation? Share your stories, as well as photos or videos of your dog and help shape this series. Email

We will be collecting books for Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. They are in need of children's books for their book cart. Books need to be new/unused for ages 0-10. Books can be dropped of in the marked bin in the Narthex.
