We're Growing to Serve You!
|
We have launched two new departments - a dedicated Owner-Operator Customer Service team and a Fulfillment Center - to provide more efficient and cost-effective service to our expanding customer base, which currently exceeds 3,500 accounts with more than 245,000 active transponders.
"As we aggressively grow, adding owner-operators, mega-fleets and everything in between, we want to make sure that we adapt our organizational model to continue to provide the best possible service, whether it is in the cab on the road or in the back office," said John Andrews, our president and CEO. "Both of these new departments will give us more flexibility in meeting the needs of our customers, which will in turn save them even more time and money on their toll."

Are You Ready for Some Football?
|
September means fall, and fall means the beginning of football seasons all over the world. Check out these interesting facts about the gridiron.
1.
The huddle
was invented by a deaf quarterback.
It had first been used in the 1890s when Paul Hubbard, the quarterback for Gallaudet - a deaf college in Washington, D.C., and now a university - had his offense form a tight circle so they could discuss plays without the other team seeing what they were signing.
2.
"Daaaaaa Bears"
are the only team to have the same name and city since the Professional Football Association became the current National Football League in 1922.
3. Teddy Roosevelt added the forward pass to the rules of football in 1902. In the early 1900's, football was lethally brutal. With little protective equipment, it probably isn't too surprising that obituaries of young football players ran on a nearly weekly basis during the football season. The sport reached such a crisis that one of its biggest boosters - President Theodore Roosevelt - got involved and introduced the forward pass.
5. 11 minutes. That's how long the ball is typically in play during a football game, even though football games usually last three hours.

We are excited to announce that we have a new addition to the Bestpass team! Meet Bob, our new Assistant Controller.
What About Bob? Bob is a big numbers guy who loves to golf and watch sports. He's getting married in a couple short months and is looking forward to chillaxing in Aruba. He and his buddies take a bro trip to see a different football stadium, each year. This year marked the fifth year anniversary - the guys drove an RV to Buffalo to check out the Bills.
Before Bestpass: Bob has extensive expertise in finance, including planning, executing, directing and completing financial audits and preparing and analyzing account reconciliations. Pretty much, Bob loves numbers and nothing makes him happier than seeing zeros at the bottom of a reconciliation.
Fun Facts: His tuxedo cat and his boss share the same name: Chuck.
What he loves about Bestpass: "Where I came from before Bestpass was super conservative. I love not having to wear a suit to work every day." Despite this, he is one of the sharpest dressed in the office.
Football team he will be rooting for this year: The Giants
