Music of the West African Kora Comes to Tiverton

Wed Oct 5th, 6:30pm, Community Room
Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa. He will feature traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the kora's musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions.
All ages welcome.

The Beatles & The Rolling Stones
Mon Oct 24th, 6:30-7:30pm, Community Room
Music scholar Aaron Krerowicz returns to follow up on his highly successful Beatles program he presented last year.
Ask anybody to name two English rock bands from the 1960s and the response will likely be The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
But despite often being portrayed as rivals in the media, the two groups were actually quite friendly towards each other, both socially and musically. This 60-minute presentation will compare and contrast the two through musical examples and interviews with the band members to illustrate the relationship between The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.
