UPSTATE ELECTED OFFICIALS MEETING
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27th
Shaping Our Future Scenario Planning & Growth Alternatives Analysis

Since 2010, Ten at the Top and other regional partners have hosted regular meetings of city, county, and state elected officials. Typically, the sessions focus on a specific topic and include a presenter, or number of presenters.

The next Upstate Elected Officials Meeting on October 27th will be a bit different, as rather than presenting to you on a specific topic, it will be an interactive program where we will be asking for your input on current and future growth within your community and the greater Upstate region as part of the Shaping Our Future Scenario & Growth Alternatives Analysis project.

Your local knowledge and input on what is happening within your community is crucial to the overall project, so your participation on October 27th is greatly appreciated.

UPSTATE SCHOOLS & BUSINESSES WORKING TO BRIDGE THE GAP FROM GRADUATE TO EMPLOYEE
Last week a group of Upstate school district and workforce development representatives met to begin planning the third Upstate Education & Economic Development Forum.

The goal of the forums are to keep the conversation between the region's school and businesses flowing to ensure Upstate graduates are able to be gainfully employed after completing school.

The upcoming Upstate Education & Economic Development Forum will be held on Thursday, November 10th at the MT Anderson Support Center in Greenville. The focus of the forum will be how the South Carolina Profile of a Graduate compares with the actual needs of Upstate business and industry.
