Stewardship Kickoff this Sunday

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

-I Chronicles 29:14

This Sunday, October 3, St. Tim’s kicks off our annual Stewardship Campaign. We invite you to join us as we commit to Celebrate God’s Gifts through our giving. Over the next few weeks, we’ll highlight some of the outstanding ministries for the parish and the community, and hear stories of stewardship that are truly transformative. We ask that you prayerfully consider your gift for 2017, and help us continue to carry out the mission and work of Jesus. You can pick up your pledge packet after each Mass on 10/3, or at Parish Breakfast. We’ll come together on November 13 to commit our pledges to God and celebrate with a parish wide event. Let’s give joyfully, in thanksgiving for our many blessings!

New To St Timothy's?
Common Prayer & Cornbread
Whether you've visited once or have a preferred pew, if you are ready to move deeper into community and fellowship at St. Timothy's, this luncheon is for you. Join us Oct. 16 at 12:30pm for a BBQ lunch (vegan and vegetarian options available) to meet the staff, vestry, and leaders of different ministries, learn about who St. Timothy's is as a parish, and how we work to grow in faith and service.  Church is more than just being on a membership list, and if you seek to become part of our family at St. Timothy's, or simply find out if we are the kind of family you would like to join, we hope you will share our table.

Good food, good conversation, and good times to be had. See you there! Please RSVP to Katie Harper at  [email protected]
The Abraham Project - Jemi Senoga

Hey there! We are a little over a month into our TAP year and I wanted to give y’all a little update about what I’ve been up to in Winston.

I am working at Seven Homes, which is a private foster care and adoption agency. This agency does amazing work that impacts children all over North Carolina. Since starting at Seven Homes, I have had the opportunity to work alongside incredibly passionate people who work tirelessly to advocate for children. I am grateful to be a part of this work!

Besides work I’ve had the chance to explore the Winston area. Winston is a great city and I love Ardmore! Arthur’s Cafe has become a staple, and you can find Karley, Emily, and I there most Saturday mornings. (My Order: sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant and chunky hash-browns).

Living with these two has been an absolute joy! They are loving, supportive, and kind. This experience wouldn’t be nearly as fun without them. We are also lucky to have Queen B (Becky ~ with the good hair) as our director. Becky, Emily, Karley and everyone at St. Tim’s has helped make this transition an easy and fun one!

I am so hopeful and excited to see what this year has in store. Thank you all for welcoming us into the St. Tim’s community!
