As part of FirstNet's comprehensive outreach strategy to ensure public safety agencies are prepared for key decisions around implementation of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN), FirstNet is engaging with local public safety leaders and their senior staff around the country.

The Metropolitan Leadership Workshop is designed to provide information, receive input, and share answers to key questions from public safety officials. Attendees are encouraged to provide input, describe the challenges they face, and discuss needs which might be met by FirstNet’s new wireless network.

Discussion topics include:

¨ Snapshot of FirstNet’s present status

¨ Information from public safety stakeholders on current communications trends

¨ Implementation schedules for FirstNet

¨ Upcoming release of FirstNet’s state plan for Washington

¨ Actions required for agency enrollment with FirstNet

¨ State adoption of FirstNet plans for build-out of RAN

¨ Current and future mobile data communications challenges for public safety agencies

Come Prepared to Discuss:

¨ How your agencies use mobile data today

¨ Your biggest challenges or issues with managing devices
