Did You Know? Case Review - Part Two

A1During Case Review, the different team agencies discuss the most serious and complicated cases of child abuse.

The team shares information from each of their professional perspectives - for example, the pediatricians discuss medical findings, CAN's child specialists talk about the forensic interviews, law enforcement and child welfare investigators share details about the child's home life and alleged perpetrators, and the district attorney's office talks about whether or not prosecution should occur.

The team works together to determine if abuse has occurred, if someone needs to go to jail, and if the child needs to be moved to a different home.

The team works together to decide what needs to be done in order to keep the children safe and help them begin the recovery process.

Our Volunteers Have a Message for Children

A4We recently asked our volunteers, " If you could say one thing to the children we serve, what would you say?"

This is Max & Taylor sharing their message for the children - " We wish we could hug each of you!"

We are so grateful for each and every one of our volunteers who give back to the children at the CAC!

Follow our CAN Facebook page to see when we feature a Volunteer sharing their message to the children.
