2015 CMH Tween Girls Night In

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) and Dadeville Baptist Church will host a free “girls only” event for tweens on Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the church, located at 130 S. Clompton St., Dadeville.

The event is open to girls ages 9 to 13 and their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, teachers, caregivers and/or mentors. Presentations will be made by board-certified pediatrician Shannon Calvert, M.D. at CMH Butterfield Park Pediatrics and other community leaders.

“I’m very excited to take the CMH Girls Night event on the road and partner with the faith community of Dadeville.  The ‘in between’ years of young girls’ lives are the perfect opportunity to discuss being healthy inside and out,” says Dr. Calvert. “Tween girls are impressionable and this event provides clear and relevant information and direction for pre-teen girls and the women influential in their lives.  We want everyone in the room to feel comfortable, have fun, learn the right information from the right people and ask lots of questions.”

The free event includes fun door prizes and a light meal.  Girls Night In Roadshow T-shirts are available in youth and adult sizes and can be pre-ordered online.   Space is limited and reservations are requested.

Girls Night In RoadshowT-shirts are available in youth and adult sizes for $15 each (2X-4X $17). We need sizes by Friday, Oct. 21 in order to have them by the event.
