This morning I wanted to find some sage thrashers which usually travel through about this time of year. Where else would you go to see sage thrashers other than Sage Trail? It was great out there and nice to be in a little shade too.

Sage Trail is not only a good place to find sage thrasher, but also a relative newcomer to Boulder County-the black-chinned hummingbird. In fact, we have often seen two males at Sage Trail in the past two summers. Black-chinned hummingbirds are the western counterpart to the ruby-throated hummingbird of the east.
