Cast Announced For Kitchen Theatre Company's Precious Nonsense
Ithaca, NY: Kitchen Theatre Company's second show of the 2016/2017 season is Precious Nonsense by Rachel Lampert directed by Sara Lampert Hoover, on stage October 16- November 8.
 
Kitchen Theatre Company's outstanding cast for  Precious Nonsense includes Broadway veteran Lydia Gaston* (Angelina), original Precious Nonsense cast member Eric Brooks*  (RDC Carter), KTC favorite Emily Jackson, and five other New York City-based actor/singers making their Kitchen Theatre Company debuts:
Patric Halley* (Pete), Weston Allen Kemp (Samuel), Jillian Gottlieb* (Josephine), Coleman Hemsath (Frederic) and Thomas Conroy (Herbie/Music Director). *Members of Actors Equity Association.
                 
 
Synopsis: It's 1939, and the Depression has reduced the Carter Family Savoyard from a thriving theatrical company to a troupe of four singers. When a theater manager insists that they perform a full version of Pirates of Penzance, anyone and everyone is recruited to make it happen. Precious Nonsense is a backstage/onstage, tour de force for seven players, packed with mistaken identities, romantic entanglements on the boards and in the dressing rooms and a do-or-die determination that gender-bending role-playing. Fun for the whole family. (Ages 7+)
 
The creative team includes: Sarah Frank (Set Designer), Erik Herskowitz (Lighting Design), Lisa Boquist (Costume Design), Thomas Conroy (Music Director), Jen Schilansky (Stage Manager) and returning director Sara Lampert Hoover, who was at the helm of the play's world premiere in 2004.
 
Precious Nonsense has the co-producing sponsorship of Tompkins Trust Company and sponsorship of Cornell University Recruitment and Employment Center, Big Red Bullet and the media sponsorship of Lansing Star Online.

Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC), now beginning its 26th season, is downtown Ithaca's critically acclaimed and nationally recognized year-round professional theater company, specializing in regional and world premiere plays and musicals. KTC's intimate 99-seat theater is in a beautifully renovated, LEED-certified building in the West End neighborhood of downtown Ithaca, New York.
