NOMINATIONS DUE NEXT WEEK!
Nominations for your 2017-2018 SAR leadership positions are due next Friday - September 23rd.
There are five, two-year terms available on the board.
Nominees for directorships must be REALTOR® members who have served on a minimum of two (2) standing committees within the past seven (7) years or on one (1) standing committee within the past three (3) years.
If a candidate has served on only one (1) standing committee within the past three (3) years that candidate must also attend two (2) Board of Directors meetings within the twelve (12) months prior to running for Director.
Beginning in 2015, candidate committee attendance must be at a minimum of 80%, inclusive of excused absences, in order for service on said committee to be used to meet eligibility requirements.

#RDOWNTOWNSPOKANE
|
The
#RDOWNTOWNSPOKANE campaign is off and running! Launched by your SAR last week, the challenge was passed to the Spokane Homebuilders Association which encouraged its members to take on the initiative this week.
#RDOWNTOWNSPOKANE was launched in tandem with the Downtown Spokane Partnership to encourage various groups to patronize downtown businesses that are being negatively affected by ongoing road construction.
Here is one of the many groups of SAR members who participated in the challenge this week (photo above).

The real estate industry's image, as calculated by pollster Gallup from a survey of 1,032 Americans, is now higher than the overall favorability of U.S. industries for the first time since 2006.

The Citizen's Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) is hosting a networking, education, and training event in
Ellensburg, Washington, on
Saturday, September 24th.
The event,
East meets West in Defense of Property Rights, will be held at the
Central Washington University Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Elected officials and activists from all around Washington State will share their experiences, tactics, and strategies for restoring property rights, transparency, and government accountability in Washington State from the local government level all the way to the State Capitol in
Olympia.
There are a variety of training sessions, seminars, videos, and panels being presented.
