Acting Class with Gail Dartez
Acting: Behaving truthfully in an imagined set of given circumstances. In this class, you will explore theories and techniques used in character development and preparation of a role for the stage; and broaden your understanding of the acting process. American realistic scenes and/or monologues will be our source material for this class. Participants will use straightforward techniques for physical and vocal warm-up and engage in theatre exercises to support good physical connectivity to the character and to "the other." Class exercises are designed to support your intimate understanding of the importance of voice and body (the entire instrument) in the creation of character and in support of the craft of acting.
