On the City Council Agenda:
Manual workflows and legacy systems lead to lost revenue and customer inequity. We recommend staff apply a systems thinking approach to improve service delivery and accurate billing.

Tuesday, September 13: Zero Waste Worksession
and Presentation
This Worksession report and presentation from Public Works provided comprehensive information on the status and progress of the Department's Zero Waste Division plans to improve specific areas of immediate concern.

Follow Up on 2014 Zero Waste Strategic Plan Audit:
Berkeley has the opportunity to once again take a leadership role in moving zero waste efforts to the next level.  Public Works is scheduled to report to council on progress implementing recommendations from our July 1, 2014 audit on November 29, 2016.
Thank you so much for your continuing support for the important work that we do as independent performance auditors.  Please help us spread the word about the Auditor I opportunity to "get in on the ground floor" of helping us  continuously improve the City of Berkeley's service to the community.  Remember, not all auditors are necessarily accountants. We're looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, curious and community-minded; who can think critically to get at the root cause of a problem.  With your support, we will continue to help make Berkeley better!
Sincerely,

Ann-Marie Hogan, Auditor
