Start of the Year Checklist
Back-to-Choir Parent Meetings

Tues 9/27 Milwaukee Youth Arts Center 6-730
Tues 9/28 Mt Carmel Lutheran Church 6-730
 
Please note meetings are at your choristers location on the date & time of their regular class. New MCC families are required to attend this meeting. Meetings will include:
  • important information about our season
  • a Q & A session with MCC's artistic staff
Additionally, parents and singers will have an opportunity to chat with their choir director during the last 30 minutes of the rehearsal on their parent meeting night. 


Lake Country Children's Choir to Begin in October!
Lake Country Children's Choir is a new satelite choral program of Milwaukee Children's Choir for students in grades 4-8.  Do you know a child who loves to sing and who lives in the Lake Country?  Encourage them to audition for Lake Country Children's Choir today!  For more information, click here Lake Country Children's Choir

  • Saturday, October 1st- the entire Prelude, Training, and Resident choirs have a retreat at Mt Carmel Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa. Details are listed in each choir's calendar, located on each choir's respective webpage listed above.
    • Prelude (9 a.m.-12 p.m.) Friendship Hall
    • Training (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) Fellowship Hall
    • Resident (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) Choir Room
       
  • Sunday, October 2nd   4pm Choral Evensong MYC at Cathedral Church of All Saints, 818 E Juneau Ave, Milwaukee- Open & free to public

Voices of Eterna and Milwaukee Youth Chorale join together to present the first of a two part concert series entitled, Musica Sacra or "Sacred Music."  Featuring the music of Johann Michael Haydn and English contemporary composer, John Rutter, Voices of Eterna and Milwaukee Youth Chorale will present two works which were composed for the voices of children.

Pedals, Pipes & Pizza

Milwaukee Chapter AGO Pedals, Pipes & Pizza
Saturday, October 8th, from  10 AM-3 PM

A  program designed especially for piano (and organ) students 11-16 years of age curious about the pipe organ and its music.  They will be visiting the North Shore churches of Fox Point Lutheran, Fox Point; North Shore Congregational Church, Fox Point; St. Monica Parish, Whitefish Bay; and United Methodist Church, Whitefish Bay 

Hear beautiful music, find out about how the organ works along with visiting the organ chambers, play a piece you know on the organ, and enjoy yummy pizza all while meeting some new friends with a shared interest in music!
