The entire staff at the VBR office is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service. You are the reason the VBR exists and the reason we all have jobs. Today, I'd like to recommit to you that we all clear our voicemail daily. We return all calls before we close business for the day. So this sounds like no surprise to some of you. The reason I mention this is that there are times when we are all busy helping other members. Even in 2016 we have some members who just will not leave a voice message or send an e-mail. We understand that when you have a problem, you want a fast response, but each of us can only speak with one member at a time. So...when you call and you get our voicemail, please leave a message instead of calling and hanging up every 60 seconds. (Yes, I monitor the call log and I can see who does this.) I assure you that you will get an answer to your question sooner if you leave a message. You will not be forgotten. If you are calling to update information such as phone number or email address, please send it via e-mail. We require such changes in writing and they will be entered faster and more accurately if you cooperate.
We welcomed 30 new brokers in a new member orientation this week. This was quite a diverse group who bring a broad range of life and work experience to our industry. They were alert and attentive and should bring some great enthusiasm to the VBR.
Thanks to those of you who tried to assist me in finding a new rental home. I have leased a home in Wildridge and I'm looking forward to completing the ordeal of relocating for the second time in less than a year.
Are You Too Nice for Your Own Good? In Robert Siciliano's eyes, no one is ever truly prepared to defend themselves against an attacker. "It goes against human nature," says Siciliano, CEO of ID TheftSecurity.com, who teaches personal safety skills to real estate professionals. "We inherently need to trust one another in order to survive."
