Register Now for Upcoming Veterans Highly Rural Transportation Grant Program Webinar

Join us for this webinar on the Department of Veterans Affairs' Highly Rural Transportation Grant program. We will hear about the program from the federal, state, and local level, covering the program background, eligible applicants, and future funding availability, and highlighting implementation of the program in Oregon. 

Presenters include: Darren Wallace, Veterans Health Administration; Dave Cooley, Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs; Joni Bramlett, Oregon Department of Transportation; and Angie Jones, People Mover, Grant County, Oregon.

FTA and US DOT Updates

Nominations for the Every Place Counts Leadership Academy are open until September 19. This is a great time to partner your community leaders with limited transportation planning experience with the DOT to improve transportation decisionmaking.

If you couldn't make the FTA's webinar series on the Transportation Asset Management Final Rule, the recordings are now available!

FTA announced the 61 selected projects  to receive $211 million for new buses and bus facilities. Read more in this Press Release.

Substance Abuse Awareness Training Now Available on National RTAP eLearning

Interested in the new Substance Abuse Awareness online course, available on the National RTAP eLearning portal

Watch a recording of the recent overview webinar, which explains the National RTAP eLearning basics of setting up your agency team, registering learners, and accessing the courses, and provides an overview of the new online Substance Abuse Awareness  training

The new two-module course provides interactive training for safety-sensitive employees on the effects and consequences of prohibited drug and alcohol use on personal health, safety, and the work environment, fulfilling FTA's 60-minute minimum training requirement.
